(BUILT IN) (Icons/Graphics) SpaLadyX.jpgDo you sometimes find it hard to take time for yourself?  We moms take on so many different roles.  Whether we are stay-at-home moms or working moms, there never seems to be enough time in a day.  We take care of our husbands and children, and some of us even care for our aging parents.  Do we have to wonder where all the time goes?

As we care for everyone else, it's important for us to care for ourselves.  I know for some it may not be that difficult, but I personally find it difficult at times when there is so much to do; however, I am working on getting better.  I know it is important to find that balance and care for me.  I like the idea of going to a spa and getting a beauty treatment, if only I can find the time.  I know, there I go.  I know I've got to make the time.

What about you?  What do you do to treat yourself to a break?  Click here to tell me and you may see your tips and/or comments on the site.

With all the alternative and complementary health care practices, one of the best kept secrets is reflexology. Some people think that foot reflexology is just a fancy foot massage. But to the contrary, reflexology is the reflex areas in the feet that correspond to all glands, organs and other parts of the body. By using specific techniques (a natural approach) to apply pressure to these reflex points, it promotes a deep relaxation, improves circulation, increases and revitalizes energy, stimulates nerve pathway, improves quality of sleep and normalizes the body.

Seven Top Reasons To See A Reflexologist

Here's seven top reasons to see a  Reflexologist.

 1.  You are really stressed:

Or even just a bit stressed.  If you keep going at this pace, you will likely affect your immune system and become sick.  Being sick and stressed is a terrible combination.  Taking the time to take care of yourself is a step in the right direction for your good health, well-being and longevity.

2.  You stand on your feet all day:

Your whole body is tired, not just your feet. Relax and let the reflexologist do the work.  By manipulating the feet, you can loosen up your aching back and shoulders, too.

3.  You are a runner:

Although the exercise is great for you, the pounding on the pavement can be hard on the body. Your feet may be achy and reflexology can give them their own workout.

5.  You have diabetes:

Because the feet start to lose sensation, it is important to look after them.  Regular reflexology can be most helpful in increasing circulation.

6.  You have insomnia:

Reflexology is relaxing and often people fall asleep.  Let your active mind take a break and balance your lifestyle.  This is especially good at the end of a long day.  Reflexology allows your mind to take a break so that you can heal and not worry about what is coming next.

7.  You need the perfect gift:

It ranks right up there as one of the best romantic gifts you can give your partner. Reflexology makes great gifts on any occasion such as birthdays, Mother's Day, etc.

To receive a reflexology session, one need only to remove his/her shoes and socks. You will lie on your back on a massage table or a recliner chair.  A brief medical history is taken and the feet are visually assessed to determine the course and length of treatment.  A typical session last between 50 minutes to an hour.
